The Journal of International Community Engagement and Technology (JICET) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and originality. All manuscripts submitted to JICET are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process and, when necessary, at any stage of the editorial process.

The editorial office uses reliable plagiarism detection software to identify instances of text similarity, duplicate publication, and potential academic misconduct. Similarity reports are carefully evaluated by the editors, as a high similarity index does not necessarily indicate plagiarism. Legitimate similarities, such as properly cited quotations, references, standard methodological descriptions, and commonly used technical terms, are assessed in context.

Authors are expected to submit original work and properly acknowledge all sources through accurate citation and referencing. Any form of plagiarism, including direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, data plagiarism, image plagiarism, and unattributed use of another person's intellectual work, is considered unethical and unacceptable.

If plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct are detected, the journal may take one or more of the following actions:

• Reject the manuscript before publication.
• Request authors to revise or properly attribute the copied material.
• Suspend the editorial process pending further investigation.
• Retract a published article if serious ethical violations are confirmed.
• Notify the authors' affiliated institution or other relevant parties when appropriate.

JICET encourages authors to verify the originality of their manuscripts before submission and to ensure compliance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy.

The editorial board follows the principles of fairness, confidentiality, and due process when investigating suspected plagiarism or other forms of research misconduct, and all cases are handled in accordance with internationally recognized publication ethics standards.
